FR is the one category where the paperwork is a safety and liability matter, not a cosmetic one. We build inherent meta-aramid FR coveralls (Nomex-equivalent) — flame resistance is in the fibre and cannot wash out — certified against the right standard for your market, with the post-wash test report tied to your lot, not a generic virgin sample.
FR fabric & certification
| Spec | Standard option |
|---|---|
| FR fabric | Inherent meta-aramid blend (Nomex equivalent), 200-280 GSM |
| US standard | NFPA 2112 (flash fire), tested after 100 industrial wash cycles |
| EU standard | EN ISO 11612 (full A-F code string on request) |
| Arc flash | ATPV / arc rating to NFPA 70E / IEC 61482 on request (HRC 2 standard, HRC 3 available) |
| Antistatic combo | Dual EN 1149-5 + EN ISO 11612 builds for ATEX zones (see our ESD guide) |
| Trims | FR thread, FR closures and FR reflective tape — garment-level FR, not just fabric |
Customization options
- Branding — FR-rated embroidery thread or FR heat-transfer reflective logos (no non-FR decoration on FR garments)
- Hi-vis FR — fluorescent FR fabric + certified reflective tape for combined hazards
- Colours — navy, royal, red, orange (FR dye systems only)
- Pockets & fit — utility layout, action back, leg zips for boots
Built for these hazards
- Oil, gas and petrochemical (flash fire)
- Electrical and utility (arc flash)
- Welding and fabrication
- Foundry and molten-metal splash
Quality & certification
Every FR program ships with a third-party post-wash test report (UL / SGS / Intertek / Bureau Veritas) naming the accredited lab and tied to your fabric and colour — plus the full EN ISO 11612 code string or NFPA 2112 garment-level certificate. Pre-shipment inspection tightened to AQL 1.5 on FR. See our FR certification guide for what to demand before you pay.
